Our Tuition structure is DIFFERENT this year. The college will now allow us to break up the option to enroll in housing and the meal plan separately. This will allow us to offer three tiers of pricing and offer students some flexible choices:
- BASE TUITION: $2150 BASE Tuition includes daily studio time with faculty, lectures and demos by faculty and guests, and optional portfolio reviews. Supplies other than easels, tables and a shared printer are not provided. All students enrolling MUST select base tuition. This will NOT include housing or meals.
- ADDING "ON CAMPUS HOUSING" IN THE DORMS: +$315/week( 6% Mass sales tax will be added at check out) *THIS IS ONLY HOUSING*
- This option covers ONLY housing in the dorms, NO meals. If you have a friend or spouse coming to be with you but they are not attending, they can purchase a dorm spot as well- just email us after purchasing so that we can register them as a guest. Note: overnight guests for the week are not allowed in the studios or able to attend lectures. The option to buy a dorm spot will be open until March so you do not need to decide right away.
- Housing is by the person not by the room( there is not discount for sharing space)
- ADDING THE MEAL PLAN: +$228/week(6% Mass sales tax will be added at check out) *MEALS ONLY*
- You must have a meal card for your meals. One meal plan per person- meal cards cannot be shared
- IMC 2019 classes take place on June 10-16th.
- Because of new summer programs availability at the college we have access to campus on a DIFFERENT schedule than prior years. PLEASE read this and be fully aware of the changes before enrolling. Check in is on MONDAY June 10th from 11am-5pm and check out is Monday June 17th by 10am. We will be running an informal teaching get together on Monday at 2PM with selected faculty and run by Dan Dos Santos. So aim to check in as early as you can so as not to miss all the action. Plan your travel accordingly and arrive late Sunday and stay in a hotel locally if you are worried about missing things Monday afternoon. You are also able to arrive on campus early Monday morning and wait on campus or in the Amherst area- just know check in and access to the dorms will not start until 11am.
- OPENING PRESENTATION and our first official lectures will begin MONDAY NIGHT JUNE 10th at 7PM.
- Students will be allowed to set up their studio spot starting at noon on the 10th AFTER they check into the dorms-DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIOS FIRST-check in with Daneen at the dorms to get you easel tags, parking passes and general information even if you are staying OFF CAMPUS.
- Our classes and studio time will run LONGER into the final day on Sunday the 16th than we have in prior years. We will run normal studio time and lectures until 4pm, have a brief farewell in the lecture hall at around 5pm followed by the Open Studio at 5:30-7:30PM. Extending the studio/lecture schedule on the final day will allow us to make up for a large portion of the lost studio time in the schedule that would usually have on Monday afternoon. If all works out as we expected we will only miss about two hours of actual ACTIVE studio time based on prior years.
- Your spot is assured with your paypal payment receipt of your BASE tuition payment and registration form.
IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
**Please feel free to contact us if you would like a sample schedule from a prior IMC**
- TUITION IS NOT REFUNDABLE.
- We will not be organizing and facilitating access to a formal wait list as we have in prior years. If you can not attend you may give ( or "sell") your spot to a friend. You may also post the available spot in the IMC Student Network online. In most cases people are able to fill their spot if they don't wait until too close to June. **If you give away / sell your spot** you will need to email us the contact information of your replacement so that we can send them registration and get them up to speed with all the information they'll need to know.
- RARELY HAS ANY INSTRUCTOR OR GUEST HAD TO MISS AN IMC DUE TO AN EMERGENCY OR ILLNESS. BUT, if any instructor or guest does have to miss a part of or the whole week due to an emergency, we will provide an additional guest instructor of equivalent abilities and connections to teach in that spot.
- YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO ATTEND THE IMC
**Please feel free to contact us if you would like a sample schedule from a prior IMC**

Traditional Painting / Digital&Traditional Hybrid Studios: RM 101 and 201
Easels OR tables will be provided as needed: This environment can also be used to accommodate traditional/digital hybrid working techniques and you will be given the option to choose between a space with an easel and taboret, or a table space (you can bring your own table top easel to place at your table space and if you intend to use a computer heavily, we'd recommend a table spot). We cannot provide both tables and easels to everyone, so you have your choice of one or the other. Once enrolled it will be difficult for us to facilitate a shift in studio space as selected spots fill up. If you have questions about installment plans -here are some options! Be sure you are enrolling in the correct classroom at checkout. |
Digital Only, Rm 2017
This room has better lighting control for working on screens ,better access to outlets and has more comfortable chairs than the stools or folding chairs in the other rooms. It is limited to digital media and pencil and paper only, no paints are allowed in this space. If you intend to work digitally exclusively you may be more comfortable here, but if you like the atmosphere of the traditional studio you may choose room 101 and select a table spot. Once enrolled it will be difficult for us to facilitate a shift in studio space as selected spots fill up.If you have questions about installment plans -here are some options!
