IMC 2017 INDUSTRY ART DIRECTORS, CURATORS and GALLERIES
Eric Skillman is a Brooklyn-based graphic designer and art director, with the Criterion Collection, where he has been firmly ensconced since 2002.
Eric will be joining the IMC this year to review work for Group 1A and 1B.
After 11 years designing and art directing book covers, Lauren Panepinto has worked in every publishing genre and collaborated with artists of all disciplines. As the Creative Director of Orbit Books and Yen Press for the past five years, she has been trying to merge the worlds of genre and commercial publishing and figure out what SFF publishing looks like in the present world of mainstream "geek" media. Recently she also became the Creative Director of a new commercial fiction imprint, called Redhook.
The IMC is so happy to have Lauren back as a guest for portfolio reviews for Groups 1A and 1B!
In addition to her visit with us as an artist in residence Cynthia will also be doing art director portfolio reviews for group 1A and 1B
We are so proud to welcome Cynthia Sheppard to the IMC this year! A Spectrum Gold Medal award winner, Cynthia has done illustration for books and games and has been working as an art director for Magic: The Gathering since February 2015.
Erica Berkowitz has her Master’s Degree in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Formerly the Director of Last Rites Gallery in NYC, Erica left that position to open Haven Gallery.
Prior to Directing at Last Rites, she was the Director of Press and Publications at Forum Gallery.
Haven Gallery’s focus is on exhibiting emotionally, intellectually and imaginatively driven, representational artwork that connects the audience and artist with universal axioms and passions. They work with both emerging and established artists who transcend their medium and subjects by exploring the world around them as well as the one within themselves.
We are thrilled to welcome Erica!
Erica will be reviewing work for the gallery focus group (group 2)
It is also our pleasure to welcome David Molesky to THE IMC this year!

In addition to his life as a painter David is a curator and writer and frequent contributor to Juxtapoz magazine and other publications.

Marc Scheff and Lauren Panepinto started EDO with a new model for collecting original small works by new and emerging artists and illustrators.
EDO has made it possible for people who love art and want to collect original pieces to start collecting for the first time. The benefits for the artists have been present in a thriving platform for experimentation for small works and the sale of the those pieces every month.
We are very happy that EDO will be available for portfolio reviews for people in group 1 and 2 working in traditional media.
